Today I have an interview with claire_shearer who recently achieved proseller status. Here is their story of their journey to this achivement.
About 2 years ago I got into photography as a hobby and over time I got more and more into it. I started out on Zazzle in Feb 2010 originally to try to sell my photographic prints and cards. I soon realised that although I sold the occasional product that it wouldn't be a big money maker! I began to experiment adding photographs to invitations and business cards, these were more succesful. I eventually dabbled in drawing digital artwork using photoshop and Illustrator. I have always had a love of art & design and nearly went to art college. I regretted not going ever since so it is kinda like fate that I have ended up doing what I love most again! I have never been so motivated about anything in my life, every spare moment I have I am either creating products or working on my websites. I also recently opened a new store honey_moon which specialises in wedding products, it's turning out to be extra fun as I recently got engaged!
I specialise in invitations and business cards.
My biggest achievements were selling a massive 500 of these invitations in one bulk sale

Beautiful Red Rose Wedding Invitiation- Black by claire_shearer
See more ""Evening Invitations
and also becoming a pro seller of course.
My first invitation sale was this one

Leopard Shoe Invitation Square, You're Invited,... by claire_shearer
Make ""announcements on zazzle
and it continues to sell now.
My advice is to concentrate on making quality products over quantity. Also ask yourself if you would purchase your own products! If not then maybe they need improvement. Lastly the most important thing is motivation for creating new designs.
I don't do much promotion, I make sure my products are well tagged and use the promotion forum. I find promoting products time consuming and it's not been succesful for me when I tried in the past.
Don't tell my boss...but I hate my job so my ultimate dream would be to earn enough to quit!! I would need to clear around $2000 for that to happen so it's a distant dream at the moment.
